I joined March of Dimes to lead an effort to invest in startups addressing maternal and infant health needs. Learning about the pregnancy related complications impacting moms and babies has been humbling, as is the reality that any family can be affected.
What I have also learned about is the inspiring work the organization does through advocacy, funding research, and supporting families with babies in the NICU, among many other efforts.
March of Dimes started 88 years ago collecting dimes to help fund a vaccine for polio. 88 years later our focus has shifted to ensuring the health of moms and babies, but our need for support is the same.
