Hello,
I am Sherry Evans and I was a premature baby at 2 pounds even. I know first had about the struggles of gaining weight and hospital visits as a premature baby.
My first pregnacy was twins. Wonderful right. Well, if I had the proper health care, they would have known I was having twins. No ultrasound in those days if you couldn't pay for it. One of my babies was still born. When I gave birth he was gone.
My oldest was a surrogate and lose twins and lost babies at 20 weeks. Going though the experience with my daughter was so upsetting.
Now, life blessings have came around again and my best friend's daughter has triplets, Eszra (3 lbs), Torrance (3 lbs), and Camiyah (2.5 lbs.) :one girl and two boys. I am elated that I get to be apart of there life in a grandparent role. The are going to be three years old in April and I can not believe how much that they have grown. They are not all talking but with a speech therapist and other tools avalible, I have no doubt that they will be on track with everything.
Being a part of these different scenarios, has made me more passionate for the movement for March for Babies.
I joined the movement to create positive change for moms and babies everywhere, especially those most at risk.
With preterm birth and maternal death rates continuing to rise, I’m committed to raising funds so that every family gets the best possible start. But I need your help.
Please visit my fundraising page to make a donation. Together we’ll be part of a movement to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
