This year marks 20 years since Julia gained her wings.

Twenty years of missing her. Twenty years of loving her. Twenty years of carrying her memory with me everywhere I go.

Every spring I begin preparing for the March for Babies, and every year I walk in Julia’s honor either physically or virtually. What started as a way to cope with unimaginable loss has become something much bigger. It’s a way to turn grief into purpose and to help other families bring their babies home healthy and safe.

Julia’s life was brief, but her impact continues to ripple outward. Because of her, I’ve spent the last two decades supporting a mission that fights for the health of moms and babies—especially those most at risk. And sadly, this work is still needed more than ever.

So once again, I’m asking for your help. If you’re able, please consider making a donation to support the March for Babies. 

At one point we had people across the country walking for Team Julia Lani in their own local March for Babies events, which was incredibly special to see. While that’s not something we expect, the invitation is always open. If you’d like to join our team and walk in your local event, just sign up and let me know. Every donation helps fund research, education, and programs that support healthier pregnancies and stronger beginnings for babies and their families.

Walking each year reminds me that Julia’s life still matters. Her story still matters. And together, we can help create a future where more babies get the chance to grow up.
