Every baby deserves a strong start, and every family deserves hope.
This year, I’m walking in the March for Babies to support moms and babies everywhere—but for me, this mission is deeply personal. When my daughter Porter was born, our world changed in an instant. Instead of the peaceful moments we imagined, we found ourselves in the NICU, surrounded by machines, monitors, and uncertainty.
The NICU is a place of both fear and incredible strength. It’s where tiny fighters show just how powerful they are, and where parents learn what it truly means to hope, to wait, and to believe. I remember the long days and sleepless nights, the quiet prayers, and the overwhelming gratitude for every small victory.
Not every family gets the outcome they dream of. That’s why organizations like March of Dimes matter so much. They support critical research, provide resources for families, and work tirelessly to ensure more babies are born healthy and strong.
I’m walking to honor Porter’s journey, to stand with families who are still in the NICU, and to remember those who have faced unimaginable loss. I’m walking because every baby deserves a fighting chance.
