In years past, I supported march of dimes as a NICU nurse. Now my support is twofold,both as a NICU nurse and I now as a NICU parent. when our third child was born at 39w1d, the last thing I had expected was for him to end up in the unit I worked in. he fought hard to get better but his fight was not as hard as it could I have been thanks to the research from March of dimes. some day all babies will be born healthy... too many moms and families know the heartbreak of having a baby born fighting to survive I've joined March for Babies because the March of Dimes champions the needs of moms and babies in our community and across the nation.
