Since 1946, Jack and Jill of America has raised Black children to lead, serve, and give back to their communities. That mission has never been more urgent than it is today.
Black women in the United States face a maternal mortality rate nearly three times higher than that of white women. Black babies are more than twice as likely to be born prematurely. These are not statistics we can walk past.
March of Dimes is on the front lines of this fight — funding research, advocating for policy change, and equipping families with the support they need before, during, and after pregnancy. As mothers raising the next generation, the JJOA Mt. Vernon/Alexandria Chapter is proud to stand alongside them.
Our chapter was founded in 1966. In that spirit, every member of JJAMV is contributing $19.66 to this campaign — a small but meaningful tribute to the legacy we carry forward and the healthier future we are building for the next generation of Black children and families.
