We’re walking for our daughter, Carmen, our tiny but mighty NICU graduate. She was born at 31 weeks due to severe IUGR and spent 57 days in the NICU before coming home.
As she approaches her first birthday this June, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the doctors and nurses at BIDMC who made her story possible. We know how lucky we are—and we know not every family gets this outcome. We walk to honor all babies and to help fund research so more families can bring their babies home.
