Meet Layla Janae Abernathy, the daughter of Travis and Secret Abernathy and the granddaughter of Tim and Sheri Rucker, a true miracle in motion. Layla’s journey began as a premature baby, fighting for every breath in an incubator. Secret (Her mother reflect) “I’ll never forget the night I was discharged from the hospital; there is a photograph—now a cherished canvas in my office—of Layla looking directly at me through the glass. I believe even then, she knew I was leaving her side, but she was never alone” We celebrate that Layla isn't just surviving but is now a vibrant, healthy 1st grader!
