Every year, half a million babies in the U.S. are born prematurely. Premature birth is the leading cause of newborn death and many life long disabilities. The funds we raise in WalkAmerica support research that saves babies' lives.
Right now, babies need all the help they can get. Premature birth affects about 450,000 babies here in the United States. We’re walking in March for Babies to get the message out about this terrible problem and you can help.
This year I walk on behalf of our chosen Ambassadors, Dyrell & Denver. Baby Boy Dyrell was born at a weight of 2 lbs and Baby Girl Denver was born at a weight of 1 lb. Due to complication they were delivered 3 months early. Dyrell and Denver original delivery date was to be April 23, 2016. The two precious babies are my 3rd generation Niece and Nephew.
