For me it's personal. I joined the movement for so many reasons, one is to to create positive change for moms and babies everywhere, especially those most at risk. DC struggles with maternal health and preterm births, it's something I've experienced throughout my training as an RN and NP. I want to see a change and be apart of it!
Another reason I'm raising funds is because of legacy. March of Dimes was my late grandfather's favorite charity. Ken Chappell Walked through his city and connected with people through his fundraising for MOD. In his life, he was able to fundraise more than 250k way back in the day! Now that COVID allowed for these Walks to resume, I’m committed to doing MY part in raising funds for March of Dimes so that every family gets the best possible start. I want to round those National's Stadium bases to home plate just like an LA Dodger, feeling accomplished.
Together we’ll be part of a movement to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy. Thank you so much!
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
