We are walking to remember and honor our son Carson John Baus. We lost him at 14 weeks to Limb Body Wall complex, which is a fatal birth defect that is a condition characterized by multiple, severe congenital abnormalities in a fetus. It typically results in openings in the anterior body wall (chest and belly) and defects of the limbs (arms and legs). We spent the summer of 2018, during our first year of marriage, watching him get sicker and sicker. Because this defect is rare, there is little research being done to learn how this defect occurs or how it can be prevented. Please join Amy and I together with Team Urban Engineers in unity as we walk to support all those impacted or donate to help us prevent other families from going through what we went through.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
