As many of you know, Payton was born at 34 weeks and spent 19 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Those were some of the longest and most emotional 19 days of our lives, but the care Payton received from the NICU staff brought us such comfort. We are forever grateful for the NICU staff and the care they gave Payton after her early entrance into the world. I am forever grateful that little tiny baby received such excellent care and has grown into an amazing 15 year old who loves school, singing, art, helping others and who is an amazing big sister with such a caring heart for her friends and family.
The March of Dimes provides critical research to NICU's around the country and our prayer is that every premature baby receives the same excellent care that our precious Payton received. We are also grateful that through the research the March of Dimes does, we were able to, after several bouts of pre-term labor and hospital admissions, deliver a healthy, full-term Riley!
