As many of you know, I have always dreamed of becoming a NICU nurse since before I can remember. My inspiration to this profession comes from my cousin, Samantha. She may not know how great of a part she had in me becoming a NICU nurse but I owe it to her. Despite being given an early start to life, her strength to overcome numerous obstacles and continued dedication to be the best she can be is truly inspirational.
Currently premature birth affects about 380,000 babies here in the United States. I will be participating in the walk this year (virtually) on Sunday, April 25th to get the message out about this unfortunate problem and you can help! Please consider making a secure donation to help me reach my goal. Together we can help the March of Dimes fight prematurity so each and every baby can get the strongest start possible that they deserve. Thank you for taking the time to read my story!
Love, Melissa
