Our sweet girl was born full-term after an uncomplicated pregnancy. Unfortunately, during labor, I experienced a full uterine rupture and placental abruption resulting in our daughter being without oxygen for an unknown amount of time and sustaining a brain injury. The NICU team at Maine Med was nothing but incredible during our entire month long stay. Balancing NICU life with a toddler was made a bit easier with the support of the March of Dine team ensuring we and our toddler had everything we needed. We’re so grateful for all of the support they provided our family during our stay.
