Dear Potential Sponsor, My name is Antonia McGaughey. I'm very excited to be a part of March for Babies this year and hope you will join my team. I want to tell you a little about my background, so that you know the reason and the passion behind my family and I supporting March of Dimes! In January 2011, I found out that I was expecting. I had a nine week ultrasound and everything looked good. Throughout my pregnancy, I suffered from low amniotic fluid. At 26 weeks, our daughter Chloe Ann, was born as blood flow to the umbilical cord had declined. She weighed just 15 oz and 10 in long. After 5 days in the NICU, we held her until she passed away in our arms. Since 2012, we have walked as Team Chloe Ann McGaughey. This is our way of honoring her memory and giving back to our community. Every day, thousands of babies are born too soon, too small and often very sick.
