Why I walk

One in 10 babies is born too soon. In our family, that number is 4 out of 6.

I was nearly six months pregnant when I suffered unexplained preterm labor, and my twins- daughter & son, Ava and Cole- were born too early to survive. We were devastated.

My middle nephew was also born 3 months early, and spent months in the NICU clinging to life. But thanks in part to the lifesaving advances made through the March of Dimes' research, he is now a healthy, thriving teenager.

My most recent pregnancy was nearly cut short when I again experienced preterm labor at 32 weeks, but doctors were able to stop it after 4 days.

Please support my walk for the March of Dimes, in hopes that their work will help ensure no other mom ever has to suffer the terrible pain of a baby born too soon. Making a secure donation is easy: just click the 'donate now' button on this page. Thank you for helping me give all babies a healthy start!

WE NEED TO UNITE, CONNECT AND FIGHT FOR FAMILIES

With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.

At March for Babies: A Mother of a Movement you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.

Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
