Our twins were born more than three months early, our daughter weighing 15 ounces, her brother 22 ounces. Our tiny girl Jaina died after two days of kidney disease and infection. Cade spent four bumpy months in the NICU before coming home -- something that wouldn't have happened without March of Dimes-funded research that developed surfactant therapy. He's now a healthy 8-year-old.
We walk for the March of Dimes to honor those whose fundraising and research saved our son, and we walk with hope that we'll help fund a cure for what took our daughter. We hope others will benefit from our experience and fundraising and not have to go through what we have.

Two babies die every hour in the U.S. And about every 12 hours a woman dies as a result of complications from pregnancy.
It's not fine. That's why we March for Babies.
We march to end maternal death. We march for babies born too soon. We march for babies we have lost. We march for moms-to-be. And we march for health equity.
Join the fight for healthy moms and strong babies, and make a difference for families everywhere!
