Every mother and baby counts. Many of the maternal complications and deaths in the U.S. can be prevented by timely access to prenatal care. I have chosen for 11 years to participate in the March for Babies. My hope is to help moms, babies, and families in our community experience the joy of a healthy baby. With more than 400,000 babies born prematurely each year, there are several things we can do to help them and future babies.
The funds raised enable March of Dimes to provide prenatal care, and education, support research, lead programs, and health advocacy in our community. It is a lot to ask but the needed support can make a lifelong difference to families in northern Virginia and across the country.
