I joined the movement to create positive change for moms and babies everywhere, especially those most at risk.
In 2010 I gave birth to twin boys who by the grace of God were born healthy although prematurely. While my family didn't need the direct support of the March of Dimes, I know the risks of premature births that lead to extended hospital stays. After all these years of supporting March of Dimes, I only focused on our twin boys, but our first child, Bailey, who was born in 2008, was born at 38 weeks after I was on bedrest for 16 weeks due to high risk of miscarriage. I thougtht those 16 weeks would never pass. While I had resources to gain access to all the necessary medical care, there are families who do not. March of Dimes is there to provide a positive impact on mothers and babies at risk no matter their resources.
