As I became more and more involved with March of Dimes I actually began to realize how many amazing preemies I know/knew including my husband. This journey of support started with my beautiful Niece born in 2016. It was such a scary moment as my sister complained of headaches and swelling not realizing her pre-eclampsia was basically toxemia causing her to go into early labor as well as have a grand mal seizure. At that time, we weren't sure if either of them would make it. However, both are with us today and thriving thanks to the hospital staff and NICU who cared for my niece for several weeks as she grew big and strong enough to go home. I hadn't really seen a baby so small in person and connected to all those chords, I was at first afraid to touch her thinking she's so small and fragile. I can laugh at that now as she's so tough! She couldn't have been so lucky without the help of organizations like March of Dimes who support NICUs throughout the USA and abroad. Although not every baby is as furtunate to survive as she was; every baby deserves a fighting chance!
NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL EVERY DIME COUNTS!
With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
At March for Babies: A Mother of a Movement™ you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
