I participate to help all moms and families experience the joy of a healthy baby. August 25, 2017 my daughter Marissa was born at 23 weeks and 2 days. My daughter spent almost 4 months in the NICU. By the grace of God we were blessed with an amazing support system, nurses, and doctors and my daughter was able to come home. She is doing well despite some health complications and is now 2 years old. As she grows older and gets healthier, we will never forget her very rocky start after a very traumatic delivery.
With nearly 4 million babies born each year, we have a lot of work to do to help them ALL and give them ALL a chance to go home. The funds I help raise will enable March of Dimes to support research, lead programs and provide education and advocacy that truly makes a difference to families in our community and across the country.
