I joined the movement to create positive change for moms and babies everywhere, especially those most at risk like myself and Xena-Faye who was born at exactly 22 weeks.
The Faboyede Family,
In 2019, while only 20 weeks pregnant Elizabeth experienced preterm labor for the second time. She went to Women and Infants hospital but was denied life saving care for Xena due to viability policies. After discharging herself from Women and Infants, Elizabeth and her husband William drove to Brigham and Women's Hospital seeking better medical care. After almost a week on bed rest, Elizabeth gave birth to Xena-Faye on March 4th at 22 weeks and 0 days.
While in the NICU William and Elizabeth credit the March of Dimes for positively impacting their 144 day stay in the NICU. They provided resources and programming that helped the Faboyede family as Xena-Faye fought for her life.
