Katie Supports March for Babies

I joined the movement as my baby, Luke was born premature at 34 weeks and 6. I had been leaking amniotic fluid and was admitted. I truly believe Luke knew he needed to get out and this was his way of letting us know.

The doctors advised a c-section was needed. He wasnt crying when he arrived and wasn't breathing so he had to be intubated. He also had fluid in his lungs, so he got a chest tube and had a feeding tube. My husband and I would visit Luke daily. Sometimes twice a day. We had spent our first Christmas as a family of 3, in the NICU.

After 63 days in the NICU he was able to join my husband and I at home, with our dog and we got to be together. A family. At home.

With preterm birth and maternal death rates continuing to rise, I’m committed to raising funds so that every family gets the best possible start. But I need your help.

Please visit my fundraising page to make a donation. Together we’ll be part of a movement to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.

WE NEED TO UNITE, CONNECT AND FIGHT FOR FAMILIES

With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.

At March for Babies: A Mother of a Movement you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.

Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
