Hello! My name is Alyssa Wise and I am from Raleigh, NC. I am a Junior at Elon University double-majoring in Acting and Arts Administration with a Business Minor.
I joined the movement to create positive change for moms and babies everywhere, especially those most at risk.
I was the result of a premature birth myself. 21 years ago, my mother had a condition called HELLP syndrome. It was very dangerous and rare for pregnant women. Because of this condition, my mother had to go to the hospital for an emergency C-section. Thankfully with the help of doctors, assistants, and god himself, I was successfully brought into this world. I was born 4 months early on October 31, 2002, at 24 weeks. I weighed 1 pound and 5 ounces. My original due date would have been February 14, 2003.
With preterm birth and maternal death rates continuing to rise, I’m committed to raising funds so that every family gets the best possible start. But I need your help.
Please visit my fundraising page to make a donation. Together we’ll be part of a movement to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
At March for Babies: A Mother of a Movement™ you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
