One is 175 babies in the US are stillborn, meaning the baby is lost after 28 weeks, but prior to or during birth. My oldest sister, Anna, was stillborn. My parents went on to have four more healthy baby girls, but, this loss has had a great impact on me and my sisters. After deciding I wanted to run the NYC Marathon (with my mom!!!), we knew this organization is who we wanted to raise money with! Our goal together in raising $5,000 each is to provide more research, assistance and care for both moms and babies, before, during and after birth. Running has become a recent focus and outlet for me and being able to run a marathon and help this organization during that process is amazing.
