I joined the movement to create positive change for moms and babies everywhere, especially those most at risk.
This year the marathon will take place on November 3rd. A date that is very important to me, which is the day my dad passed away. My dad was always pushing me to do hard things and would never back down from a challenge.
With that being said I have also decided to run with a charity, and that charity is March of Dimes whose mission is to "end the preventable maternal health risks and deaths, end preventable preterm birth and infant death, and close the health equity gap."
My sister and I were premie babies born at 1 pound 12 oz each and to this day we are thankful to both be able to live a happy and healthy life! My mimi was also a premie who unfortunately lost her twin when they were born. It is unfortunate that we never get to meet her twin because I believe she would have been just as special as my mimi is.
This year I am running for my family. My entire support system and those who mean the most to me. Please help me reach my goal of $5,000 so I can support those families who need it the most. Every dollar helps
