I’m walking for my niece, Jordyn, whose life and journey mean everything to me. Seeing her grow and thrive reminds me just how precious every pregnancy and every baby truly is. Our family is incredibly grateful for her story and the care that helped bring her safely into this world.
At the same time, I know that not every family has the same experience. Preterm birth and maternal mortality rates continue to rise in our country, and Black mothers are disproportionately affected during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. That reality weighs heavily on my heart. Every mother deserves quality care, to be heard, to be believed, and to be supported… before, during, and after giving birth.
That’s why I support March for Babies. I’m raising funds not only in honor of Jordyn, but also in hope of a future where equitable maternal healthcare is the standard, not the exception.
If you feel led to support this cause, please consider making a donation. Together, we can help create healthier beginnings for every mom and every baby.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
