My granddaughter, Ra’Meira Ja’Nae Cooks, was born prematurely on December 24, 2024. She was not due until April 1, 2025. Her early arrival gave our family a firsthand understanding of how important support, medical care, and advocacy are for moms and babies.
I’m participating in March for Babies through Zeta Amicae in support of mothers, babies, and families impacted by prematurity and birth complications. While Ra’Meira is my personal reason for walking, this fundraiser supports the broader mission of helping families everywhere have access to the care, support, and resources they need.
I’m walking in honor of her and in support of every family whose journey has been touched by premature birth. Every baby deserves a healthy start, and every mother deserves access to the care she needs.
If you feel led, please consider donating to my March for Babies fundraising page. Your support helps make a difference for babies and families everywhere.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
