I joined March of Dimes because, for the last 15 years, women’s health has been more than my career — it’s been the center of my life’s work.
For 11 of those years, I stood at the bedside as a labor and delivery nurse, witnessing some of the most powerful and fragile moments a family can experience. Since 2018, as a maternal/OB transport nurse, I’ve had the privilege of caring for mothers and babies when every second matters most — when they need a higher level of care, when the road to meeting their baby doesn’t look the way they imagined.
I may not have a child of my own, but I have cared for countless mothers whose journeys have forever shaped me — families facing premature births, babies fighting in the NICU, mothers navigating the heartbreak of loss, and those carrying the quiet weight of infertility.
Each of those stories stays with me.
Joining March of Dimes is my way of continuing to stand beside those families — not just in the hospital, but in the larger fight for healthier pregnancies, stronger babies, and better outcomes for every mother and child. It’s a mission that feels deeply personal, because every baby deserves the strongest possible start, and every family deserves hope. 💜
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
