We are supporting March for Babies for the third time this year! The last two years, you all propelled Walter's and my march to VIP status with all of your generous support! Thank you. This year, we have extra cause to celebrate, with a baby brother due at the end of March!
As you may know, due to high-risk pregnancy complications, Walter was born at 37 weeks, and had to spend four days in the NICU. We also spent many weeks of my pregnancy doing extensive testing to make sure that he and I were both well. I am so grateful to all of the experts and caregivers who helped us along the way. Last Halloween, we got to attend a reunion at St. John's hospital, and saw so many beautiful children who are now thriving thanks to the NICU!
High-quality maternal fetal medicine, obstetrics, and neonatology, plus the angel nurses in the NICU, are the reasons Walter is here and healthy today! I am aware that this kind of care is the exception in our country, not the rule. With preterm birth and maternal death rates on the rise (a national disgrace), I want to do what little I can to try to make outcomes more equitable for women who are most at risk.
Please consider donating toward making sure moms and babies are healthy, and supporting Walt and me. Everyone deserves the best start they can get!
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
