At just 6 months old, my daughter Khloe underwent surgery for craniosynostosis—a condition where the bones in a baby’s skull fuse too early. As a mother, that was one of the most difficult moments of my life. As a healthcare provider, I understood the complexity—but nothing prepares you for it when it’s your child.
Â
Moments like that change you. They deepen your gratitude for early diagnosis, skilled care, and the research that makes successful outcomes possible.
Â
That’s why the Atlanta Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is proud to support March of Dimes. Their work funds critical research, education, and advocacy to improve the health of moms and babies—helping families navigate challenges like the one we faced.
Â
Today, Khloe is thriving—and I never take that for granted.
Â
I share our story because so many families are still walking this journey. And they deserve the same hope, care, and outcomes.
