On January 22, 2026, my daughter was diagnosed with HELLP Syndrome. The very next day, on January 23, she delivered my second grandchild, Kolter, at just 22 weeks and 6 days. Despite the extraordinary care of dedicated doctors and medical teams, Kolter passed away on January 28, after five precious days of life.
I am joining March for Babies to help create positive change for moms and babies everywhere—especially those most at risk. I walk and fundraise in loving memory of my grandchild, whom I will never have the chance to hold, but who will forever be part of our hearts.
With preterm birth and maternal mortality rates continuing to rise, I am committed to raising funds so that every family has the best possible start. Research, advocacy, and education save lives—but I can’t do this alone.
