Pregnant with our 4th and final, I was due August 10th, 2025. In early May, I began showing signs of pre-eclampsia, and on May the 4th, I was admitted to Abington Hospital with severe pre-eclampsia. After 5 days of medication and monitoring, I was told our little one would be joining us by way of c-section at just 26 weeks, 3 months early, almost to the day.
On May 9th, 2025, weighing in at 2 lbs and 4 ozs, Lucas Rey joined the party, and was called a “spitfire” by the OR nurse. And he has lived up to the name ever since. The force is indeed strong with this one. After 67 days in Abingtons Special Care Nursery, we were free to make our way into the world!
Lucas is now 10 months old, 20 lbs, and the happiest little thing you could ever be lucky enough to meet ❤️
