I joined this movement because I am committed to creating real, lasting change for moms and babies—especially those most at risk.
After experiencing postpartum complications, including high blood pressure and postpartum preeclampsia, I spent several days hospitalized and separated from my newborn. It was one of the most frightening and vulnerable moments of my life—and it opened my eyes to just how critical and fragile maternal health can be.
The truth is, too many women—especially Black women—are facing preventable complications, preterm births, and even death. This is not just a statistic… it’s personal.
That’s why I’m committed to raising funds and awareness to support better outcomes, stronger resources, and equitable care for every mother and every baby.
But I can’t do this alone.
I’m asking you to stand with me. Please consider making a donation and sharing my fundraising page. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps move us closer to a future where every family has the opportunity to begin healthy, supported, and whole.
Together, we can create change.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
