The March of Dimes holds a deeply personal place in my family’s heart. This year, I’m teaming up with my company to lead a large-scale fundraising initiative with the goal of raising over $100,000 to support healthier beginnings for all babies. We have raised over $250,000 over the last three years, with the support of so many!
Right now, babies need all the help they can get. Premature birth affects about 380,000 babies each year in the U.S., and many causes remain unknown—making research and support more vital than ever.
My connection to this cause began in 2017 when our son, Sullivan James Sharpe, was born at just 28 weeks. He fought bravely for four days before passing away in our arms due to extreme prematurity and underdeveloped lungs. The March of Dimes was there for us during the hardest days of our lives and has continued to be a source of strength.
Following Sullivan’s loss, we faced challenges in growing our family. My sister lovingly carried our next child, and in December 2018, we welcomed Nicholas through the gift of surrogacy. The March of Dimes provided knowledge and community as we navigated the journey of parenting after loss.
Please consider joining us in honoring Sullivan’s memory with a donation to this life-changing organization. Together, we can help more babies get the strongest start possible.
With gratitude,
Megan, Mike, Zachary & Nicholas
