I first heard of March of Dimes through my parents. My twin sister and I were 26 week preemies over 30 years ago. My mother talks of how we used to be on billboards and sponsored by March of Dimes. I then had my own 33 week preemie 6 years ago which changed my whole perspective on NICUs and the care these babies receive. I was an adult nurse for over 7 years and after living the NICU mom life for a month, I decided to change my specialty to the NICU. I now have been a Small Baby Nurse in a NICU. It its such an honor to care for all these amazing babies and their families. I hope to make a difference with my passion for taking care of this little miracles.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
