Both of my sons were born 5 weeks early, and I was also a preemie with a Heart Defect who was born 8 weeks early. By the grace of God and due to the amazing care of skilled doctors and nurses, and a loving family we are all strong and healthy. However, those first few weeks of life filled with trips back and forth to the hospital for a new parent are a challenge and a true test of faith. The March of Dimes provided a much needed comfort for my husband and I as we patiently waited to take our little ones home from the NICU as they do for so many other families. Please join me as I walk to raise funds to give back to the March of Dimes, whose mission aims to support families who endure this process, and aims to end preterm births, births that have defects, and in some cases a loss of life.
