I joined the movement to create positive change for moms and babies everywhere, especially those most at risk.
As a momma of two beautiful, strong nicu babies, I can say that birth complications are on the rise, and that no one should ever have to go through what some of us have been.
My sweet boy Cade wasn’t born early, however we both developed Chorioamniotis during delivery, which resulted in the physician to make the choice to use forceps.
My darling girl Josie was 3 weeks early, induced due to myself developing Cholestasis 😫 She decided she was ready, when the doctor wasn’t. The nurses kept my legs closed for 10 minutes until the doctor showed up. In those 10 minutes, Josie had swallowed amniotic fluid and meconium, required a nicu stay and bipap/brief intubation because her lungs where still so new they couldn’t handle the stress.
With preterm birth and maternal death rates continuing to rise, I’m committed to raising funds so that every family gets the best possible start. But I need your help.
. Together we’ll be part of a movement to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
