I chose to join the March of Dimes March for Babies because this mission is deeply personal to me. In July 2025, the Willis family welcomed their daughter, Ellbie, far too early—right on the edge of 22/23 weeks. It was an unimaginably fragile moment, and yet she was met with extraordinary care.
The neonatal unit at UAB, funded in part by March of Dimes, gave Ellbie the best fighting chance. Their research, advocacy, and support for families facing premature birth made a life‑changing difference. Today, Ellbie is healthy, thriving, and the sweetest reminder of what hope, science, and compassionate care can do.
I’m marching to honor her journey, to celebrate the miracles made possible by March of Dimes, and to help ensure more babies and families receive the same chance.
