I was born four months early on January 14, 1999—just 24 weeks, 1 lb 10 oz, with only a 10% chance of survival. My life began in the NICU.
I spent months fighting for every breath and underwent multiple surgeries and procedures. I needed years of occupational, physical, and speech therapy to learn how to move, speak, and grow. The teams at Richmond University Medical Center and NYU Langone Health never gave up on me.
And because of them, neither did I.
Today, at 27 years old, I am a 2021 College of Staten Island graduate, with a career in advertising who is truly thankful every day to be living an independent, healthy and normal adult life.
I am living proof of what NICU care makes possible.
That’s why I’m walking with Nina’s NICU Warriors to support March of Dimes. If I can beat the odds—so can they.
Your donation helps give NICU babies the chance I was given. 💜
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
