This is really close to my heart and I encourage you to help me support this organization as they are trying to increase the health of babies and mothers.
As a mother from having preterm birth at 25 weeks and also losing my baby two weeks later, this is very important to me. Having a bad infection after labor was scary. I was weak, could not eat or drink, had a fever and blood pressure was low. I would step outside and I felt as I was going to pass out. I could not see. My eyes would go black stepping outside. I ended up back in the hospital. Thankfully I did because my baby’s health started to decline and while I was there he passed away a couple days later. I have lost another recently that had ended up in a miscarriage. I told the doctors I was bleeding they said it’s okay it’s probably just fibroids. 5 days later I go back to the ER and they tell me I am having a miscarriage. I know you cannot stop a miscarriage but being informed on what’s going to happen without googling it would have been nice. This is another reason I raise and donate to March of Dimes so that women can be educated on these situations and the medical issues that can occur.
Raising money for these moms are near and dear to me. Maternal death rates being so much higher hurts my heart. Some things happen so quickly but raising money to help research and run programs for women, and educate health care providers and women helps in hoping to prolong life of mother and child.
With preterm birth and maternal death rates continuing to rise, I’m committed to raising funds so that every family gets the best possible start. But I need your help.
Please visit my fundraising page to make a donation. Together we’ll be part of a movement to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
At March for Babies™ you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
