This is my fifth! year at March of Dimes and could not be more proud of this organization. I am a senior data analyst in our Perinatal Data Center where I support our staff in the field and publish meaningful maternal and infant health research like our Maternity Care Desert Report.
This year, I set my fundraising goal as $1,104. Our most recent data shows that there are 1,104 counties in the US that are considered maternity care deserts, which means women in those counties have no access to a birthing hospital or obstetric clinician. Our research is important as it is widely used to direct funding and resources across the US and has even been cited in presidential action plans for maternal health.
My mission has always been to ensure that families are safe, healthy, and happy. Research and data are absolutely necessary for impactful, evidence based change. By contributing to my March for Babies page, you directly support the work I do to achieve this goal and support moms and babies. Thank you for your visit!
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
