Every baby deserves a healthy start — and every mom deserves to survive pregnancy and childbirth. Yet the crisis is especially urgent in Georgia. Our state consistently ranks among the worst for maternal mortality, and Black women here are more than twice as likely to die from pregnancy-related causes as white women. Black infants in Georgia die at over twice the rate of white infants.
These are not biological differences — they reflect inequities in healthcare access, bias, chronic stress, and underinvestment in communities.
March of Dimes is working to change that through research, advocacy, and programs that expand prenatal care, address implicit bias, and push for policies that protect moms and babies.
When you support March for Babies, you’re standing for Black mothers and Black babies in Georgia — and helping fund solutions that save lives.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
