I walked in my first Walk with the March of Dimes in about 1977 with my Dad. How times have changed! My sister was born with Congenital Rubella Syndrome, causing intellectual delays and physical challenges. The March of Dimes was a leader in vaccine development, starting with the polio vaccine. Younger generations no longer need to fear these diseases.
Fast forward to 1992, when I went to work for the March of Dimes. I am proud of the impact made over the 27 years I spent on the staff team. Two of my closest childhood friends struggled with difficult pregnancies, miscarriages, and preterm births. I remain committed to raising funds to help every family get the best possible start.
Join me and be part of a movement to ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
