When we found out we were having TWIN girls we knew it was going to be extremely special. However, that officially made the pregnancy high risk. Meaning it could potentially come with added risks, specifically a higher chance of pre term labor. At our 31 week appointment we were told that Juny had IUGR and our due date would be much sooner then we had planned.
And just like that at 32 weeks Juny and Rory where born. We then went through the medical journey of learning the in's and out's of the Mercy NICU. We basically lived in the NICU for about a month. Our family will be forever grateful for the doctors, nurses, RT's, OT's, PT's, social workers, and all other support.
With preterm birth and maternal death rates continuing to rise, I’m committed to raising funds so that every family gets the best possible start. But I need your help.
