The day my daughter was born was nothing like we imagined.
She arrived suddenly—three months early, at just 25 weeks. Everything happened so fast. One moment we were planning and dreaming, and the next we were surrounded by machines, doctors, and uncertainty. She was so small, so fragile, yet already fighting harder than I’d ever seen anyone fight.
Those early days in the NICU were some of the hardest of our lives. Every beep of a monitor, every update from a nurse, carried both hope and fear. We celebrated the smallest victories—an ounce gained, a steady breath, a quiet night. Through it all, we held onto faith and each other.
We couldn’t have made it through without the incredible support we received. The care team at Nemours stood beside us every step of the way, treating not just our daughter, but our whole family with compassion and strength. And through the March of Dimes, we found resources, community, and reassurance that we were not alone in this journey.
Today, our daughter is a symbol of resilience and hope. Her story is a reminder of how critical support, research, and compassionate care are for families facing premature birth.
