I joined the movement in efforts to create a positive support system for moms and babies who have high risk pregnancies. My sister brought the movement to my attention when my nephew was diagnosed with Trisomy 13 in 2024. We realized that God needed him more than we did. As a result of his passing, we started walking in honor of my nephew in 2025. Not realizing at the time, that the March of Babies would serve a greater purpose in my life as well. I have too, experienced two miscarriages of my own. My first miscarriage was on January 11, 2017 at 5 weeks and 5 days. It lasted for a week and everything occurred naturally. My second miscarriage was a long journey. It occurred on January 8, 2026. I went in excited for my first ultrasound only to find out my baby did not have a heartbeat. In fact, my baby stopped growing at 7 weeks and 2 days. This was very tough and affected me deeply. This miscarriage lasted longer than the first. A few weeks later on January 26, 2026 I officially started to have symptoms associated with a miscarriage. On February 6, 2026, I passed the fetus naturally. If it wasn't for my faith, family, friends, and God by my side, I dont know where I would be. I want to be a part of something positive that support the live of women and babies. By joing the movement, this is a way for me to remember my nephew and my babies who are no longer with us. I will forever honor their memories and draw awareness to such a notable cause.
