I joined the movement to create positive change for moms and babies everywhere—especially for those facing the greatest risks.
This cause is especially close to my heart because when my daughter, Cataleya, was born, she required care in the NICU at Children’s Hospital. Those first days were filled with uncertainty and fear, and they opened my eyes to just how vital maternal and newborn health support truly is.
Going into delivery, we expected “normal”, experience and it turned sideways in a way we never expected. After her birth, I remained in the ICU at a different hospital, and being separated from our newborn was incredibly challenging for my husband and I during an already overwhelming moment.
I'll never forget the support we received while separated. Little things like being able to watcher her each day on the cameras and the nurses dressing her each day in cute outfits from their donor closet. Things that made the long days seem more routine and not so overwhelming as a new mom.
Because of this experience, I’m proud to walk and fundraise to help ensure other families receive the care, resources, and support they need during their most vulnerable moments.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
