I am fundraising for the March of Dimes because I believe all babies deserve a healthy start to life.
When my daughter Sara was born four months early, I was scared of what our future would look like. Healthy would not be a word I used to describe Sara until many, many years after her birth. Her prematurity led to severe respiratory distress, developmental delays, and many other health complications.
During Sara’s 121 day NICU stay, I was introduced to the March of Dimes and was supported by a community of families going through many of the same things. The family liaison at the hospital connected me to organizations and support systems and also included me in family events at the hospital. I was able to learn more about prematurity and the impact the March of Dimes was having on prematurity outcomes.
Sara is 11-years-old now and we have been fundraising for the March of Dimes since 2015. This organization has helped saved my daughter’s life, but has also helped me heal from trauma by having a platform to share my story.
Thank you for your contribution to this organization and helping moms and babies stay healthy!
With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
At March for Babies™ you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
