Hard to believe Spring is almost here. Along with the Spring flowers comes the March for Babies. I know most of you all know about my story. This is MY story that I live with everyday. It never gets easier, even though its been almost 28 years since one of my greatest blessings came into this world and also left it way too soon.
28 years ago on May 7th, I lost my 1st born baby boy. I know a lot of people think, WOW that’s a long time and “she should be over that by now.” The truth is, I think about my son every single day of my life. He was only here for 6 short days but I have been making sure he has left the biggest impact possible. May 1st 1998, my sweet baby boy Kyle Louis entered this world. Little did I know he wouldn't be here very long. The happiest day of my life turned into the most devastating day of my life. The only time I got to spend with my son was in the hospital connected to a whole bunch of tubes. I so badly wanted to bring him home, but that never happened. My goal with the March of Dimes for the past 27 years has been to help other families from having to go through the same heartache and pain that I went through and continue to go through all these years later. I left the hospital without my son and it was the most difficult thing I've ever had to do. Raising money for the March of Dimes is one of the ways that I keep my son's memory alive. I have been walking in his memory since the year after he was born and I will never stop. One of my biggest fears is that my son will be forgotten. I want him to be remembered and because of him I have raised thousands of dollars over the past 27 years and I will not stop until all babies are born healthy. I cannot do this alone, so I am asking for your help, The amount of love and support and extremely generous donations over the years have truly left me speechless. A very special thank you to my Team, Debi and Jen! Every year we are among the top 10 teams on Long Island. I couldn't do it without you guys. There aren't enough thank you's for you all. The babies and familes still need our help and no amount of money donated is too small. Please consider donating. I thank you, Kyle thanks you and all the babies THANK YOU! I LOVE YOU MY SWEET ANGEL!! 🦋💙💜 I participate to help all moms and families experience the joy of a healthy baby. With nearly 4 million babies born each year, we have a lot of work to do to help them all. The funds I raise enable March of Dimes to support research, lead programs and provide education and advocacy that truly makes a difference to families in our community and across the country. If you believe, like I do, that every baby deserves the best possible start, please march with me or make a donation to support this community effort. Together we can fight for the health of all moms and babies.
Thank you so much!
